About the show

About the show

The International Roses & Gardening Organization Committee (Mainichi Newspapers/NHK/Sports Nippon Newspapers) has been holding the “International Roses & Gardening Show” every year since 1999. The largest event of its kind in Japan, it showcases roses and beautiful gardening from all around the world. The goal of this event is to introduce the many charms of roses and gardening to all the people looking for a new lifestyle, and to foster cultural rediscovery through co-existence with nature. The show has received high international praise as a one of a kind event.

The event venue centers on “symbol zone” suited to each year’s theme, and has exhibitions introducing the latest creations from garden designers, beautiful roses from nurseries all around the world, the creations of rose lovers who approach their work with indifference and those who so with passion, and exhibitions of the rose lovers themselves. There are also many events such as gardening markets, special events held on the rose terraces, and rose and gardening contests that everybody can enter. Over 1 million roses and their sweet fragrances are looking forward to welcoming you.

※For the duration of the event, tickets also allow entry into the Seibu-en Amusement Park. Accompanied children are also admitted.
